Studio Arts
Moreno Valley, Norco and Riverside City colleges each offer a vibrant studio arts program. Students receive training on traditional and contemporary art-making processes, learn about art in cultural and historical contexts, and refine their understanding of art and visual perception skills. Studio art encompasses creation of visual art through the techniques of drawing, painting, graphic design, illustration, animation, printmaking, photography, and sculpting. Note: not all colleges offer the same opportunities.
For some individuals, art comes from their hands, sculpting one pot at a time. Students
who enjoy pottery will discover how they can tell their story through personal creation.
Other students will find how embracing imperfections can lead to perfection.
