If you are interested in Earth’s materials, processes, and history, then geology is the major for you. Students study rocks, minerals, earthquakes, volcanoes, and the forces that shape our planet, gaining hands-on experience through labs and fieldwork. The program prepares students for transfer and careers in environmental consulting, natural resources, hazard assessment, and geologic research.
